We've been asked often what our needs are, and it's our prayer that we'll be intentional to share with God's people, and to steward well what He provides.  As we expand into this season of ministry, our priorities are to:

  • Continue needed repair and restoration of existing land and facilities, additionally re-imagining their use for effective ministry growth

  • Develop guest spaces suited for couples and families that are comfortable for year-round retreats, ministry and events

  • Expand recreational opportunities on property in-line with the mission of "Connecting Generations in Christ"

  • Expand meeting spaces so that small-groups and retreats can have multi-seasonal opportunities to rest, be refreshed, and encounter Christ more deeply

So with those goals in mind, we're sharing in case there are resources you're connected with that can be shared!  Here is a current "wish list" of resources that will help us pursue God's calling to serve families, churches, Christ-followers & not-yet-followers for God's glory and their good.

Gym Roof Campaign

We have been told that the gym at Camp Bethel is possibly the largest chink log cabin in the United States!  For decades it has served as a place for ministry and a vast variety of events.  Maybe you were even a part of one of those!  Youth camps and retreats, concerts, birthday parties, rock wall climbing, youth and adult athletic leagues for basketball and volleyball, the wild game dinner and vendor hall, UVA Wise basketball club, church services and revivals, banquets and more.... the list keeps going with just how utilized and important this indoor facility is to camp and the community. Will you help replace the roof so these events and activities will continue to impact young and old?

Recently, a local donor took it upon himself to replace all of the lights with beautiful and bright LED's. Volunteers have been painting and bringing it back to life both inside and out. We are also looking for a wood floor, in the near future, to replace the dated carpeting and provide a better surface for all activites.  But right now, none of that will be possible if we do not replace the current leaking roof.  During recent storms we have counted more than 8 locations allowing water to enter the facility.  Without some urgent attention, repairs will increase and we will lose use of the building.

We have a quote from a local vendor and are seeking your help for $30,000 to protect this beautiful building for another 30 years. Will you help us continue to impact lives at camp?  Click below to give a fully tax-deductible gift.
